Do I need to complete the FAFSA to apply for EOPS?

EOPS applicants are only required to complete the California College Promise Grant application (CCPG).

Part of EOPS eligibility is based California residency (eligible AB540 applicants included) and income. Income eligibility is based on the the federal poverty guidelines annually published by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

The CCPG application provides the information needed to determine income eligibility for prospective EOPS applicants.

However, if you complete the FAFSA, not only will your CCPG eligibility be determined, but you will be considered for ALL state and Federal student aid with one application (Pell grant, Cal Grant*, College Work Study (CWS), Scholarships student loans, for example).

Note: AB540 students do not complete the FAFSA. You will complete the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

*Deadline applies.

Go to, How to Apply for EOPS for more information.
